She states that when in Paris in 1915 she obtained a sapper's uniform, with the connivance of several soldiers and a staff officer, and stayed in the front area at Albert for a fortnight, mostly in a dug-out under shellfire. Sickness compelled.a disclosure and she was arrested. She eventually appeared before ■ Field-Marshal French and was placed in a convent until she was sent home.—Aim. NZ Cable Assoc.
