FARM HAND COMMITS SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whakatane, Sept. 2. Nelson Semmens, aged about 30, milker for Mr, Webster, of Opouriao, was found on the farm with the upper part of his head blown off. Particulars disclosed show that deceased borrowed a gun from the homestead On the farm yesterday, saying he wanted it to shoot a hawk. On the man being missed the police were notified yesterday morning, and Constable Greensladc searched the farm and found the man's dead body on a cattle track leading to a lagoon. The shotgun was pointing to his head. A MISSING MAN.

Auckland, Sept. 2. Keith Hiskens, aged 17, residing at Cheltenham, left the beach in an open boat at 8 a.m. on Monday. An exte'nsive search has failed to find any indication of his whereabouts.

A DETERMINED SUICIDE. Auckland, Sept. 2. The body of H. H. Marshall, manager Life and Accident Company, was found of the Auckland branch of the Guardian in the Parnell baths with a bullet hole in the corner of his left eye. He had sent a letter lo a friend which indicated his intention to commit suicide.'

A NATIVE FOUND DEAD. Eotorua, Last Night. An elderly Native woman named Ngareta was found dead by her granddaughter in a warm pool at Tarewa, a Maori suburb of Kotorua, on M.onday night.
