WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wangnnui, Yesterday. Victor and Roy Smith were found guilty of common assault on PoliceSergeant Reid, and sentenced in the Supreme Court this morning to 18 months' reformative treatment. . Mr. Justice H'osking [characterised the assault ns serious ana savage, but lie mitigated the sentence on Recount of the previous good conduct of the prisoners and their good service to the country during the war.
