ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENTS. Wellington, August 30. James Chinn, aged 72, a well-known resident of Blenheim, was knocked down by a motor-car in Market Square, Blenheim, and killed instantly. Auckland, August 30.
Mrs C. Clarke, wife of the licensee of the Pukekohe Hotel, who was injured in a motor car accident last Saturday, died in the hospital after having a leg amputated.
