OKATO. (From n Correspondent,/

On tho 17th Inst., the Methodist Sunday School celebrated Its anniversary. The services were conducted by Rev. E. U. M. King, who Breached to large congregations In the afternon and evening. On Monday evening a social v.as hold In tho church, when there was a large attendance, notwithstanding the weather was anything but Inviting. One interesting item Cor the children was the distribution of prizes. The secretary's (AIIB3 Fearce's) report was very satisfactory. Several vocal and musical items wore rendered. Those who contributed were Mr. Willis, song; Mr. Power, song; Mrs. Squire and Miss Pearce, duet; Mrs. King, recitation; Mias Squire, recitation; an untl'cm by the choir; a company song by three flt the scholars, Miss Ada Ashley, Miss Squire and Master Ronald H. King; a reading by Miss Pearce; and Mr. Roebuck's grapborhone, which, like several others, received an encore. Rev. King, in his address, said that the Methodist Church and Sunday School were indebted to the members of other churches for their assistance In helping In the annivariary service, not only on this occasion hut on every occasion they had been only too willing to assist.

During the evening a presentation, consisting of a set of cake forks, was made to Mr and Mrs Squire, who are lent Inn the district for Bell Block. The chairman in making the presentation spoke of the Stirling qualities of Mr and Mrs Squire, commenting on the great loss the church would receive by their departure, and wishing them God Speed. Mr Squire suitably replied. Tho singing of the doiology and the pronouncing of the bene-' diction brought to a close a very enjoyable evening.
