- (From Our Own Correspondent.) Aug. 23. The death of Mrs. Parris Taylor occurred on Wednesday last after a short illness. This is the last and heaviest loss which Air. A meeting of fire brigadesmen and their lady, friends took place at the fire brigade station on Wednesday night to deride upon some form of entertainment to assist an old comrade who has fallen upon hard times, and a social is to be hold on September 3 with that object in view.

The chairman of the local Repatriation Board, with nine disabled soldiers, wont to Stratford yesterday to attend the conference called hy the War Relief Association to consider means of assisting permanently disabled men. A good meeting was held at which there were over 150 present.

The Kev. O.
