MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. INTER-ISLAND MATCH ABANDONED. (By Telegraph Per Press Association.) Wellington, Aug. 23. At a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association communications were received from various clubs on the ques. tlon of holding an Intor-Island match this year ."ear. A meeting of delegates of tho Taranakl Men's Hockey Association was held at Hawera apt week, when it was docldod not to play a third round, and the shield and cup were awarded to Kaponga. The appointment of Mr. Seeker, of Christ, church, as delegate for the Taranakt Association on the New Zealand Association was (oiiflrmed.
