ST. MARY'S PEACE MEMORIAL.
SUNDAY SCHOOL BUILDING. The functions organised by Mesdames E. A. Walker and Hugh Baily in aid of the fund for St. Mary's Peace Memorial were brought to a very successful conclusion on Saturday, when a mart was Held at the Good Templar Hall. The building was tastefully decorated, and with stalls arranged around the walls, as well as some down the centre, presented an attractive and very businesslike appearance. All those associated in Saturday's effort deserve the thanks of the whole parish for the splendid . effort made. Special mention should be made of the High School girls who dispensed the morning and afternoon tea, the boys of the High School who organised a, most successful produce and soft drinks stall, the Boy Scouts for many services rendered, and Messrs Skinner and Kyngdon, who gave a large share of assistance to the general committee and organisers. The result of the day's effort must have been gratifying to all, and will probably place the Vestry of St. Mary's in the position of being able to proceed almsot immediately with a building scheme. The sum realised on Saturday was .eiS:'), and the expenses are small. The Star Minstrel entertainment realised £SO. and the dramatic performances will net over £!>s, so that the fund will benefit to the extent of over £325.
