WEST COAST REFRIGERATING COMPANY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The eighteenth annual meeting of the West Coast Refrigerating Company was held last week, Mr. A. C. Pease presid<ng. The annual report stated that the company had been fortunate during the past year in having ample cool storage space for its shareholders' cheese. Some i"oa of the work undertaken during the war period could be gathered when it was stated jthat in 1014 the total cheese storage space at Patea was for 40,(150 cases, whereas at the present moment, including Kaupokonui and Mangatoki stores, there was provision fo« 180,000 "ases when stores are stacked full, or 107,000 if stores stacked openly, all lines in graded order. Deducting the temporary stores at Hawera, Kaupokonui, mid Mangatoki, there still remained at Pntea and Hawera storage capacity of 9f1,000 cases when stores were stacked. A dividend of 5 per cent, on paid up papital was recommended to be paid from profits. The new store at Hawera ivas now practically completed and ready to take in cheese as soon as necessary.
The report showed an increase of K. 497 cases of cheese handled over those of the previous year, the tonnage being: 1018-19 20,025, 1917-18 18,832, an increase of 3793 tons.
