NEWTON KING'S KEPOM. At Rsiiotu on 15th lust., T report a fair yarding of cattle, practically tho whole of which was cleared. Yearling heifers, £2 10s to £3 10s; yearling steers, £4 Is;; smaller sorts, £Z; mixed yearlings, £4 Is; 2 yearold empty heifers, £1) to £0 16; fat heifer, £ll Ds; forward conditioned cowb (light), £8 Iss to £U 10s; store do, £5 to £7 10s 20month, in-culf heifers (small), £6 n 8 to £0 17s (id; dairy cows, £l2 to £2O; old and backward sorts, do, £9 to £ll. At Urcuui on 18th Inst., 1 report a full yurdiiig of both shep and cattle. With the exception of a few pons of rough poor conditioned steers* everything sold well up to ruling rates. In the dairy section I offered a dairy herd on account of Mr. W. ,1. Day, of Uruti, also a big list of dairy cattle 1 on account cf other vendors. Inquiry for this class proved keen, an excellent sale resulting. At Htony ltl.er on 19th Inst, cattle came ; forward in good numbers, a most satisfactory clearance being, made. A few pens of good yearlings selling in advance of late rates. Mixed yearlings, £2 15s to £4 7s; yearling steers, £4 2s to £5 Is Cd; yearling heifers (good), £5 to £5 9s; others, £3 9s to £4 9s; yearling Holsteln bulls, £5 7s; 20-month to 2-year-old sters, £7 8s to £8 10s; small do, £1) 4s to £0 17s; 3-year-old steers, £10; SO-inonth empty heifers, £0 7s to £C 10s; forward conditioned cows, £ 912s Od to £lO Ss Od; store do, £0 10s to £7 12s (id; B.m. empty ewes, 275; lot hoggets, 30s; hulls, £9 ss. A small dairy herd offered on account of Mr J. A. Peattlc, of Tataraimaka, were all second calvers and nico Jerseys, but were very low in condition but sold exceptionally well, best cows realising £l4 10s to £lB Ids; pedigree Jersey bull "Maori Officer," on account of same vendor real: ; 1 21 gns (iuaranteoil cows on account of other vendors made from £lO to £l6; 2-yeas-old dairy heifers (Jersey), £ls; other sorts, £ll to £l3. At my Stratford yards on lflth Inst., I sold my auction a dairy herd on account of Mrs M. M. Shutc. Although appearing rather low in condition tho cows were all young and showing quality. There was a good attendance of buyers and a most satisfactory sale resulted. Best cows realised £ls to £29; backward sorts, £9 to £l2.
