WOMEN ON THE LAND.

WIDESPREAD SALE AND SUB DIVISION OF LAND.

By Telagroph —Press Anan.—Copyright. Received Aug. 21, 11.10 p.m. London, Aug. 20. Owing to their war experiences, many women are permanently engaging in lighter forms of farming and investing in small farms. There is a widespread sale and sub-division of large estates, which assists the girls' enterprise. A large number of ancient estates arc changing hands owing to the war stringency. The new yeomanry are being drawn from all classes. Many single girls are pooling their savings for cooperative farming.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
