RAILWAYMEN ACCEPT TERMS. Received Aug. 22, 1.30 a.m. London. Aug. 20. The railwaymen's leaders recommend the acceptance of the Government's new offer of wages varying according to length of service, with a maximum of 25s daily for enginemen and motormen and lis for firemen, inclusive of all war wages. The Food Ministry has fixed the prices of home-killed meat till July, 1920. This is regarded as indicative of the Government's intention to control imported meats for the same period.—Aus.-N.Z.
