FROZEN MEAT.
GOVERNMENT COMMANDEERING UNDESIRABLE. By Telegraph.~-Press Association. Palmerston N., Yesterday. A meeting of the Wellington Provincial Farmers' Union to-day considered the question of the frozen meat trade. It was largely attended. Delegates reported the result of the deputation to Wellington, when Ministers were interviewed. A resolution was moved by a VVaverley delegate favoring the extension of the meat commandeering till June, 1(121, providing the price was on a parity with the price of frozen meat in the 'English market, with a guarantee that the freezing stores would be cleared within five months after that date. Opposition to the, motion was shown by a number of delegates, and it was lost by a large majority,
