STRATFORD.

At Midhirst Hall on Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. W. Mountford and family were entertained by the residents at a social presided over by Mr. G. P. Harkness who presented Mr. Mountford with an illuminated address, and referred to Mr. Mountford's long association with th» district, which extended over twenty years. He had always been to the fore in local affairs, and had been a prime mover in the formation ,of the Midhirst Soldiers' Farewell and Reception Committee, which was so successfully carried out functions for some time. ,Mrs. Mountford was the recipient of a biscuit barrel , Mr. Mountford suitably replied. Songs were rendered by Mrs. Tapp and Miss Martin, accompaniments being played by Miss Huse, who also supplied dance music. Extras were played by Misses. Martin and Taylor. POSTED DIRECT FOR 2s 6d.
