EVERYBODY'S. LAST XIGHT OF ALICE BEADY. IX "HER GRK4.T CHAXGE' Alien Brady and David Powell, two of the moat popular stars acting in concert to-day are seen in "Her Groat Chance," a Select feature screening finally at Everybody's to-night. The story is fresh and convincing, with a novel plot and some remarkably fine photography. Alice on this occasion the "girl who didn't marry for money, though she had the opportunity. How she reforms the "million dollar kid" after his father, on accouin of his dissipation, has disinherited him, makes a realistic bit of lifelike characterisation that is at once eliarming and convincing. David Powell is an artist of exceptional ability, and his work in this production calls for and obtains his best THE PEOPLES'. WALLACE REID TO-XIGHT. I "Too Many Millions," to-night's new bill at the People's, presents the popular and handsome actor, Wallace Reid in a highly entertaining comedy drama. This photoplay is a delight of thrills and I laughs, all happily intermingled. Keid is supported by Ora Carewe, who it is | claimed is one of the prettiest girls on [ the screen to-day. "Too Many Milj lions" is too good to be missed, and , everyone should make a point of seeing I this extremely humorous picture. The 'supports include Jester comedy, Burton Holmes, latest gazette and "The Railroad Raiders." EMPIRE THEATRE. A GREAT SOCIAL PROBLEM PICTURE. "RACE SUICIDE."

Perhaps.at no other time in the history of the world has there been more need for active-propaganda against racial suicide, and it. is doubtful if there ever has been deyiscd so powerful a preachment against th)s as embodied in the picture "Race Suicide," announced for the screening at the Empire Theatre next Friday and Saturday. "Race Sulfide" may be described as a picture apart, completely differing as it does from the eternal drama, with its plot and counter plot. "Race Suicide"'deals wicu the ages, culminating in a present-day story of a woman who postponed the natural result of marriage until it was too late. It deals daringly and amazingly with a great, social problem and ai great social vice. No picture ever screened can equal "Race Suicide" for origin- \ ality of treatment, dramatic power of the situations, convincing force, and defiant outspokenness. If some of the scenes seem to condone certain breaches of the conventions it is in order that the final truth inay bo more surely depicted—that truth is the immortal sacredness of motherhood. Supporting this picture there is a five-reel Chaplin picture ("Chase Me Charlie," full particulars of which appear in the advertisement. Owing to the length of the programme the first picture will commence at 7.45 sharp each night. Prices of admission will be: Stalls Is, dress circle 2s (plus tax).
