TWO MAORIS SHOT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night/ Meagre details of a tragedy which occurred at Oramahoe, near Ohaewai, Bay of Islands, were received by telegram by the superintendent of police tonight. The telegram stated that the victims were two old Maoris, the woman Meareana Tokemoana, being shot dead, and her husband, Kemaera Haeratua, receiving one bullet in the breast and two in the left arm. .... The old man, who has been removed to a hospital, stated that at dusk on Thursday evening the barking of his dogs caused him to run outside, where he saw a strange Maori, who was commg down the hi)} towards the hut. Tie stranger instantly shot at him, and wounded him. The woman then came out of the hut and was shot dead.
