GERMAN TRADE PENETRATION

TRAVELLERS INVADE ALLIED COUNTRIES. # By Telegraph—Press Assn— Copyright. Received August 14, 7.25 p.m. London, August 12. German commercial travellers are already returning to Allied countries. Some have reached England, but are unable to get rooms at hotels, and arc obliged to find private apartments. They had a chilly reception at business houses. The largest incursion is at Switzerland, where Germans made desperate efforts to rehabilitate themselves. The Swiss are able to make big profits, as they buy at the level German mark and sell at the level Swiss frank. The Germans are also giving long credits. Germany has prepared a huge scheme to exploit commercially.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
