Ottawa, August 9, A dust explosion wrecked an immense wheat elevator at Port Colborne, destroyed two million bushels of grain, and sank some small steamers and barges. The debris was blown a mile and a half away. The township was badly shattered and twenty persons killed. The damage is estimated at a million sterling. MUNITION DUMP EXPLODES. Paris, August 9. An English munition dump at Bailleul exploded and ra2ed a great part of the reconstructed town, burying numerous inhabitants and British soldiers. Three bodies have been recovered.—Aus-N.Z.
