DEMAND FOR WOODEN SHIPS. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, August 2. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times learns that tho United States Shipping Board hns announced that a London buyer lias offered to purchase twenty wooden vessels. The prospective buyer lias deposited a fund in the bank, and is now awaiting the acceptance of his offer. The price of the vessels is 300,000 dollars each.—Alls.N.Z- Cable Assn.
