By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Aug. 6, Tn the Supreme Court, Patrick Carlton McGuirc, who was found guilty yesterday of theft of a handbag containing money, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment; William Fer.ton and Bert Aiding, for being found on enclosed premises without 'awful excuse, were also sentenced. Kenton was given a term of two years' reformatory treatment an,d Aiding admitted to probation, subject to certain conditions. POUND GUILTY OF THEFT. ' Christchurch, Aug. 6. At the Supreme Court Ethel Cqusins and Percy Pascoe were found guilty vesterday of theft of (i handbag containing money. They were sentenced this morning, Cousins to two years' and Pascoe to one year's imprisonment. DUNEDIN SESSIONS, v Dunedin, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Robert Pobaf tod-Mary Faithful were charged with the theft of an opossum skin rug, valued at £lO, from the Gladstone Hotel. The latter pleaded guilty, and Pobar was found guilty of having received stolen property. Sentence in both caseß was deferred. An old man named Michael Jones wa» charged with indecently assaulting a little girl, and, on a second count, with committing an indecent act. Accused was convicted on the second count and sentenced to two years' hard labor. George Henry Garland was acquitted on a charge of stealing a wallet, money, and a postal note from James Willia.i Challis. WELLINGTON SESSIONS. ' Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Julian Huggins, 61 years of age, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for indecent assault on a boy. Horace Benjamin was found guilty of attempted indecent assault on a boy, the passing of sentence being deferred. Joseph William Gillespie, charged with assault, was acquitted.
