TARANAKI SCHOOL COMMITTEES ASSN.
QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Taranaki School Committees' Association wjis held in the Technical College engineering room last night, when the following committees were represented: Messrs. S. G. Smith, M.P. (chairman), G. H. Dolby (Central), W. W. Thomson, W. J. Bennett, J. Sanders, .T Garcia (West End), A. P. Lister (Frankley), W. IC. Morris (Oakura), J. Downs, H. Roller, G. King (Bell Block), and n. C. Sampson and F. Stanley (Hillsborough). There was also a fair attendance of teachers and others interested in education.
The Association resolved to support and co-operate with the West End School Committee in its desire to have the West End school removed to a more sanitary site. The chairman then briefly introduced Mr. W. H. Moycs, M.A., B.Sc., principal of the New Plymouth fioys' High School, who gave an interesting and instructive address dealing with some .>f the aspects of education as seen by one j'engaged in secondary work. At the conclusion an interesting discussion took place, and Mr. Moyes was accorded a hearty vote of. thanks.
