AUCKLAND MARKET. The (New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— At Westfleld store sale last Thursday the competition for dairy cattle showed a slight Improvement, practically all penned being sold. Cows and heifers, close to profit, £l2 to £l9 12s 6d; backward sorts, best, £ll to £l4 ss, others £8 10s to £lO 15s. On Friday at the Karaka yards wo held a clearing sale on account of Messrs. Paterson Bros., and report a good sale. The dairy cowa sold at from £9 15s to £ls} yearling heifers £4 to £7; bull, £9 15s; farm horses, £ll to £l7. On Monday at East Tamakl we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. O. Challlet. There was a large attendance of buyers, and we report a most successful sale: Dairy cows £9 to £l7 ss; dairy heifers, £7 to £lB. At Warkworth on Friday we held our monthly sale, when there was an average yarding,' with quotations on a par with late reports. At Wbltford on Friday we disposed of Mr. Robert Kemp's dairy herd and other ljte and dead stock (in conjunction with A. Buokland and Sons, Ltd.). There was an extra large attendance of buyers, high prices being realised.
