Giving evidence before the "Wheat Commission, members and ex-members of tho Wheat 'Board, detailing the conditions of the sale of tho balance of the 1916-17 crop to Georgeson at 4s 4%d Mr bushel, declared that iVwsw a good btN gain, considering the condition of the wheat. One stipulation of tho sale that Georgeson should have the sol* agency for tho sale of whoat to Japan and the East for a certain period. That was granted because there was gratt trouble in securing the neoeuary shipping, whereas Georgeson hod speti*l facilities for securing the needful ikjp. ping. Georgeson afterwards sold the l wheat at 4s 9d to 4a lid. 1 Replying to the query about getting the wheat away before a certain date, Georgeson declared that the condition of the grain was such that if kept «»™i. longer it would, he thought, got away of its own accord. Mr. Grahame stated "that tfefn WU no truth in the suggestion th»t, dlfMtty or indirectly,-he had received & ptnhy in connection with the wheat eontrict. Mr. Georgeson likewise denied htviiig mate any profit except an ortittary trading profit, neither had he paid tnonty to any person improperly. These statements were made after My. Molesworth had handed to Mr. Justice Pring a list of 12 persona who, he wid, had supplied him with indirect eviduHw of corruption ia connection with the sales. Adelaide, July 84. The Wheat Board has resigned, refusing to act further until an inqniry into " the methods of the New South Wain Board has been made.
