WHEAT DEAL.
AUSTRALIAN ENQUIRY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 22, 12.30 p.m. i Sydney, July 22. At the Wheat Commission, Mr. Graham. Minister for Agriculture, gave evidence that the quality of the MIG-17 wheat was a nightmare. At the end of two years it was roughly 1(10,000 tons. The wheat was under quality in New South Wales. The British Government had refused to take delivery and the Government was not allowed to send any more to America. There was then only the East left. Goorgeson's contract covered 72,000 tons, of the value of between £500,000 and £700,000. Ho considered the sale was an excellent bargain for the farmers.—Aub.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
