A WRECK SIGHTED.

IN VICINITY OF TONGA. Bj> Telegraph—Press Association. Received July 22, 8.25 p.m. Sydney, July 22. The barquentine Echo, from Columbia River, reports sighting a wreck on the Beveridge reef, in the Tongan Group, when passing on June 21. The hull was painted black; most of the rigging was gone, and there was no sign of life. It is believed she was an American vessel en route to Tonga to load copra. The wreck had been on Jhe reef for somii time.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
