At the wool sales there was good competition. Prices were unchanged. The continent was operating freely. New Zealand "C.S.M." 4fid and 45d.

The Union Bank's profit for the year is £258,614. Tlie directors propose to sub-divide the shares into five of £ls each, with £5 paid. EFFECT OF AUSTRALIAN PALES.
