SALVATION ARMY BAND.
A BUSY PEACE WEEK-END. '"What is he going to do with 300 eggs?" Is a question that has been asked by some people In connection with the request that has been made by Commander Rowlands, of the Salvation Army, for that number of eggs. As a matter of fact tho Salvation Army Band has arranged a busy week-cud for itself in helping to bring some of the brightness of peace into throe of the public institutions of the town—the hospital, tho Old People's Home, and the gaol. Besides music, the band will distribute at each of these places eggs, jam, fruit and lollies to tho patients and Inmates. This morning over 200 eggs had been received, and no doubt others will be given before Saturday. Even more than 300. could quite easily be distributed. The programme that has been arranged for the band is: Saturday, 9.30 a.m., gaol (male band only) ; 12.15 p.m., peace procession ; Sunday, 10.30 a.m.. Old People's Home; 2.15 p.m, Public Hospital; evening, usual demonstration.
