The pjeeutivc of the South Canterbury Farmers' Union (representing all branches) at a meet'ng to-day complained that the Minister had evaded a reply to a practical suggestion regarding the grading of wheat, and that he had generally turned down the farmers' suggestions. It was decided to ask that the price for next year's wheat bo Gazetted at o'nee, and to Inform the Minister that unless the grading system was amended it would have a bad effect on wheat-growing.
