Wanganui, Last Night. „, *£ a^ eetln S of the Wanganui branch M the Farmers' Union it was decided to nrge ,tha Government to appoint a com-ni-ttee of experts, consisting of the leadS? men lntereßted in the meat industry from a producer's point of view, to inquire into the whole position connected with the meat trade, and endeavor to make arrangements with the Imperial government for the release of the Dominion's meat a.t a price that will put it into the hands of the retail butchers without profit or loss, and further to report to the New Zealand Government what steps should he taken in regard to the future marketing of New Zealand meat after the cessation of the commandeer.
