AIRSHIP AND CREW DESTROYED.
STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. By Telegraph.—Press Received July IG, 5.5 p.m. London, July 15. _ Coast dwellers at Cromer saw a glare in the sky and a burning mass fall into the sea. Airship wreckage was later washed ashore at ■Sheringham. A, coastal airship and twelve ot the crew from Pulham are missing. 'lt is believed they were struck by lightning.-AUB.-N.Z. Cable Assn. The Daily Express offers a prize of £IO,OOO for a commercial reliability airship or aeroplane to make a return flight frqm (Britain to India and South Africa, carrying a minimum of one ton. An Australian flight is excluded, owing to the Commonwealth's earlier offer. The competitors are to be judged on reliability and airworthiness.
