Sole, S. Pitt, N. King, C. H. Chaney, and H. Washer. Apologies were received from Messrs Morrison and Blundell. The Egmont R.C.'s two classic races for the February mee.ting in 1921 were approved. The following licences were granted: Trainers: T. Mfllen, C. Jackson, O. Cox, R. Brough, E- J. Goodwin, T. Carson, J. Flyger, R. J. Murtagh, P. W. Scully, R. Barlow, P. Johnson, R. Johnson, J. Brown; jockeys: W. L. Nodder, J. O. McCarten, N. K. McDonell, H. E. Gray; apprentice jockeys: A. D. Rowlands, H. H. Johns, F. R. Johnson, W. A. Dillamore (subject to Hawke's Bay J.C. having no objection), A. McCormack; gentleman rider's certificate: F. C. Anstiss. The transfer of the apprenticeship of H. H Johns was approved. The Waikato meeting, advertised for Saturday, 19th, will, in consequence of the peace celebrations, be held on Friday, 18th. The Minister for Justice is to be appealed to for protection against spielers and others who congregate about the racecourses. At the Racing Conference Mr. J. H. Perrett, of Feilding, said that in his town the club was pestered by undesirables who hired lorries which pulled up alongside the fence, and from there viewed the meeting. They sat on the fence and they abused the gatekeepers because the latter would not let them in. The club could not get a policeman to shift them.
