ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KNOCKED DOWN BY A TAXI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mrs. Kathleen Mary Green, a resident of Kilbirnie, on alighting from a tramcar to-day, was knocked down by a taxi-cab and died shortly after admission to the hospital.
DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Auckland, Last Night. Injuries which terminated fatally in an unusual manner were sustained by Charles Marsh, an elderly employee of J. J. Craig, Ltd. In the course of his duties at the stables this morning, he. had his left hand badly lacerated through being caught .in a revolving plane, which he was using to cut oft" some lengths of wood. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where it was decided to place him under an anaesthetic and have the wound stitched. While this was being administered he collapsed and expired. INQUEST OX CAPTAIN DUVAL. Auckland, Last Night. The innuest concerning the death of Captain A. Duval, of the Army Ordnance Department, who wi? found dead in the, laboratory at the Mt.
