HIGH FOOD PRICES.
RAMPANT PROFITEERING. LABOR THREATENS FURTHER TROUBLE. By Telegraph —Press Assn —Copyright. Received July 15, 5.3 p.m. London, July 14. The high prices of food and the cost of necessities are causing great anxiety in France and England. M. Clemenceau is taking action similarly to Italy for the suppression of profiteering. The British Government hits not yet moved, despite the labor protests, and newspaper warnings. The House of Commons is generally apprehensive. The abnormal prices are believed to be due to shortage of supplies. The T.abor leaders threaten further industrial unrest and further forcing up of wages unless the Government promptly deals with the rampant profiteering and grabbing mania.—Aus.-NZ Cable Assn
