NEED FOR COMBATTING- ANTIBRITISH PROPAGANDA.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 15, 8.30 p.m. London, July 14. Mr. Wade .tendered a. luncheon to General Braddon at the Trocadero. Generals Strickland, Amery, and Monash, the Agents-General, and many representatives of New South Wales attended.
General Braddon gave a vivid account of America's war effort, and paid a tribute to .their kindness to Australian troops, who readily made friends with American soldiers. He urged the necessity of combatting anti-British propaganda, whieh, unfortunately, was always active in America, where the Irish question was always an irri, tant because of the Irish vote. Many utterances on the subject, however, were for home consumption only. Nevertheless, they hindered a complete understanding between the English-speaking peoples.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable A B sn.
