MANAGER FINED '£ls. Auckland, July U. At the. Police Court the manager of Everybody's Theatre was fined £5 on each of three charges of opening his theatre before seven o'clock for evening session, the prosecution being under the Public Health Act. The defendant held that he observed the spirit of the law by opening from 2 to 4, and 0 to ID, but the Magistrate said the defendant thus took advantage of managers who observed the law by opening an hour earlier than them in the evening.
