Following is the distribution of British troops over tli'e world: Two| hundred and six thousand form the Army im the Hhinc; 214,000 are 'in France and Flanders, and are mainly occupied in salvaging work on the battlefields, but act as a reserve for the Rhine Army; 11,000 are in Italy, including garrisons at Fiume and Scutari; 22,000 are at Constantinople, and a similar force in Trans-Caucasia; 96,000 are in Egypt and Palestine, including 10,000 Australians and New Zealanders; 21,000 are in Mesopotamia; 62,000 are in India, and 1400 on the Siberian railway. In the House of Commons Mr." Bonar Law said there had been helpful, informal discussions with the Dominions' statesmen regarding a special Imperial Conference to consider the future political inter-relationship of the Empire, The desirability of holding an early, conference was recognised, but it was impossible to fix a date,—Aus.-N.Z.
