SAMOAN EVIDENCE. By Telegraph.—Presq Association. Auckland, July 9. The Samoan Epidemic Commission returned from Samoa to-day. The Commission heard a considerable amount of evidence at Apia and Savaai. The Commission will sit in Auckland to-morow, and leave for Wellington on Friday. ABATING RAPIDLY IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Received July 10, 12.55 a.m. Sydney, July 10. Influenza is abating rapidly, conditions being much improved. Seventeen deaths and 78 new cases were reported during the past 24 hours.
