ADDINGTON MARKET. Chrlstchuroh, July 2. At Addlngton market to-dny there were large yardings of fat sheep and fat cattle,, but'entries In other departments were only moderate'. It is expected that tile curtailment of the railway service will affect offerings In future. Local supplies of fat sheep are now very short, and requirements will have to be filled from a distance, which makes the position more difficult, during a restricted railway service.' \ Store sheep sold at about the same rates as before the snow-storm of last week. The market opened slack, but Intimation was given by the railway authorities that the evening trains would carry as many sheep as they could, and this brightened up the market. A small yard* ing of fat lambs, which were much above the average in quality, sold well. Pat shfep met with a keen demand at an advance of Is' to 2s per head. Prices for prime fat cattle were also firmer, the yarding being made up chiefly of steers. There were a few siore cattle offered, mostly old cows. Veal calves sold well "at advanced rates. There was a moderate demand for dairy cows, nothing very good being offered;: All classes or pigs, esnoclally stores, sold "well.
