POSTAL FACILITIES.
MOTOR SERVICES TO BE UTIEISSBf FROM WELLINGTON TO NSW ' PLYMOUTH. By Telegraph,—Press Association,! ' Wellington, Last Night. Cabinet decided to-day to give the i post oflice av thority to make such Mr* ■ rangements as possible to hasten the carriage of mails. It is improbable that special services of motor vehicles will be provided by the Department at any place, but an effort will be made to make use of special services being run for other purposes. The arrangement will cover letters and postcards only. As there is no road communication between Wellington and Auckland in win* ter tlio proposal is to connect with the train at Palmerston, run a motor service through to New Plymouth, connect- • ing with the steamer the same night. 1
