.RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED -ON TWO WOMEN.
I By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, July 1. Since the commencement of the drapery. Bales shop-lifting cases hare again come into prominence, and some drastic conditions were to-day imposed by Mr. Wilson, S.M., when two women came before him charged with stealing a quantity of drapery from various shops. The magistrate convicted the accused, and put them on probation for two years, with conditions that they should not 1)e but after six p.m. unless accompanied by some' person approyed by the probation officer, and that their associates and amusements should also be subject to the probation officer's control. They were ordered, further, to make full restitution, and were warned that a breach of any one of the conditions would mean a sentence of the full term of six months' imprisonment.
