TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.
SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Taranaki Education Board was held yesterday afternoon, there being present; Messrs R. Masters (chairman), H. Trimble, S. G. Smith, M.P,,,&_ J.. Eaves, T.Bueh/nan, and H. H. Grayling. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs C. A. Wilkinson, MJP., and P*. J. H., White.
After dealing with the question of the [appointment of a principal of the New Plymouth Technical College and Director of Technical Education for Taranaki, in succession to Mr. A. GTay, the Board discussed a number of remits #hich are to come before the forthcoming WMsrence of Education Boards. :;4.B'additional remit adopted to those decided upon, dealt with the j question of leave for teachers on retiring ftoni the service, and provided for one puinth's leave- on full pay after ten 'year** service, six weeks after 15 years, and three months after 20 years* or more service. ._- </.■■
