CORRESPONDENCE AND MSCKL LANEOUS.
Mr. E. A. Meredith, Crown Lands Ranger, forwarded a repojt on section 0, Puniwhakau Village, 1 rood, the lease of which expires on June 30.—Proposed to re-offer.
It is proposed to rescind the forfeiture of the lease of section 2, block XVI, Omona S.D., 1166 acres, forfeited oh May 16, 1919, for arrears of rent, as the rent has now been paid.—RescindedThe lessee of sub. 1, section 4, block 111, Rangi S.D, applied for a rehearing of her application to have remission of rent, previously granted, and paid up on transfer, applied to her present holding.—Board resolved that it cannot recommend a concession being carried on from section to section. Mr. C. B. Buxton offer's his Makohu property, 5248 acre 3, for soldier settlement—Board will inspect. ' T. S. McClnre, the holder of adjoining land, applies to have section 5, block VI, Ohura S.D. (area, 50 acres), offered by public auction, as.he wishes to acquire same.—Refused. • Thirty-two applications under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, 1017, for financial assistance to purchase farms and houses, and four applications for advances to do improvements were considered by the board and recommendations made in accordance with the circumstances in each case. v Mr. S. G- Smith, M.P., waited on the land board re recommendation of transfer, Heppell to Messrs Denne and Riordan.—The board resolved that Messrs Martin and Meredith make a combined valuation.
Mr. Quinn submitted a report on property offered by Mr. Perry.
