AUCKLAND'S PROPOSALS. • By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The erection of a museum on the Observatory Hill and a monument on the site offered by the Auckland Harbor Board was decided upon by the council to-night as Auckland's war memorial. It is proposed that the museum should be 80,000 square feet, 50,000 square feet being for museum purposes and 30,000 square feet for war exhibits. It is proposed to spend £BO,OOO on the museum and £20,000 on the monument.
