INDUSTRIAL UNREST.
FLAXMILLERS' WAGES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. North, June 24. No settlement has yet been made in the flaxmills dispute. The Flasanillers' Association passed a resolution that, as it appears impossible to meet the union under conditions acceptable to individual members of the association, the union will be informed that the association will offer work at certain prices which is the highest rate members of the association, in the present state of the industry, are prepared to pay and that warrant resuming operations, also informing the union that the only other solution is for the matter to be referred to th* Arbitration Court. '
A special meeting of the union rejected the scale of wages offered, and also instructed the secretary to draw up a statement of the inconsistent attitude of the association towards one of the union's representatives and one of its own members, also to advise workers not to engage under 14s per day.
