TARANAKI FANCIERS.
AI MANAWATU POULTRY SHOW. There is a splendid benching of poultry at the Muuawatu Poultry Association's annual show at Palinerston this week. Taranaki fanciers are strongly represented and scored fairly heavily, as will be seen from the following list:— In Minorcas, Stewart and Landsperg, of Normanby, scored two firsts and a special. In English Leghorns, (single comb), Stewart and Landsperg scored three firsts, two specials, and two seconds; A. C. Aubrey (Waitara) two firsts, a special and a third. In American Leghorns (single comb), John Urlich (Hawera) scored two firsts* a special, four seconds, two thirds, two v.h.c., and one c. In Silver Wyandottes. W. Hall secured a first, second, third, and v.h.c; E. G. Jolmson (New Plymouth) a first; J. Urlich a first and v.h.c. " In Golden Wyandottes, H. E. Cudby (Waitara) scored three firsts, a special, two seconds, and a v.h.c; W. Hall a first, two seconds, two thirds and a v.h.c.; W. Parker (Waitara) a vi.e. In White Wyandottes, John IMch (Hawera) scored first and special and third.
In Partridge Wyandottes, John Urlich two firsts, a special, and a second; A. C. Aubrey two firsts and a third: J. Urlich (Hawera) a third. In Columbian Wyandottes W, Hall scored three firsts. In Plymouth Rocks, bared, W. Hall obtained three firsts, J. Urlich first for best bird and four seconds. J. Urlich. also obtained a first, a secW and two thirds for White Plymouth Rocks In Rhode Island Reds, W. Hall obtained one second. In Houdans, Stewart and Landsperg scored three firsts. In Campines, P. W. Hawkings (Waitara) scored a seeond and two thirds. J. Urlich obtained a first in light breeds breeding pens. In ducks, Stewart and Landsperß obtained three firsts and a see-nd. In utility Minorca*, Stewart and Landsperg obtained a first and a third. In White Leghorns, W. Scott scored a third.
In Brown Leghorns, A. P. Lister U'rankley Road) obtained two firsts, and fc. G. Johnson a first. In American Type Leghorns, A. P. Lister scored a first and special, a second and a third; J. Urlich three firsts and a second, and Stewart and Landspere a first. r ° In Black Orpingtons W. Scott obtained a first and a third. In White Orpingtons, Stewart and Landsperg scored a first. In Silver Wyandottes, E. G. Johnson scored a first, a second, and a third. ' In the selling classes Stewart and Landsperg scored two firsts. In breeding pens of ducks Stewart and Landsperg also scored two firsts. In pigeons, H. J; Moverley (New Plymouth) obtained three firsts, a v.h.c. and h.e. In canaries, F. Goodacre (New Plymouth) scored four firsts.
