CANTERBURY GRAIN MARKET. Chrlstchurcli, June 13. The oats market is inclined to be a little easier, as offerings from the south have bee-i quoted on a little loner basis There is also an Impression that the supply" of oats Is going to be larger than was expected. At the same time few oats, comparatively speaking, Have been sold by growen <tlther In the form of threshed, grain, or chair. Since the price of oats went up to 4s and over, the offerings have been a little more free, and ccntlnued Rne weather means shorter winter and a lessered demand probably for feed on the farms. Tlere Is no actual change In prices since last report. A grade Gartons being worth ia 2d tf 4s 3d, and B grade 3s lid to 4s, Algerians 55 lOd to 4s, and Duns 4s to 4s 2d. There is a good deal more oatsheaf chuff offering, parcels of 50 to 100 tons now being available The general run of prices Is £8 10s to £ti 15S country stations. The potato market is quiet, there being lessened inquiry, and at tie sami time there are fewer offering. They are no* quoted at £5 15s to £0 a* country station), though aorne buyers would not give more turn £5 10s. There is an Improved demand ts: cocksfoot, and this Is attributed to the failure of much of the autumn-sown »eed in the Ncrta Island In consequence of the dry weather «- porlenced there. There Is :i good inquiry for 13%1b to 141b seed at 9d per lb for grower!' lines. Red clover is Arm, »nd linseed Is stl'l selling well, and good clean samples are worth £l9 15s to £2O per ton at country station*. There Is a fair demand for partridge peas, which are now quoted at 5) 3d to 5s Gd, and blues are worth 6s 6d. Oclont are without change, the price to growers still being £7.
