According to the New York Times' Washington correspondent, the American Trade Commissioner in London reports that many Lancashire ->otton textile manufacturers who are unwilling to depend exclusively on the United States for cotton have been sending commissions to Japan, India, and Soutih America in order to find new sources of supply.
