HAWERA CLUB. At the) annual meeting of the Hawera Clrn?, held on Wednesday, the annual report of the committee stated, inter alia; In the ordinary club competitions. Including the buttons rink matches on Saturdays and the ferns rink matches on Wednesday, Interest was well sustained; and there were a good many very pleasant games with other clubs. In the centre banner competition Ibis club again had the honor ot belgn runnor-up In the final; and at the centre tournament several of the club's teams did very well, particularly one rink (Messrs. McLaughlin, T. E. Corklll, 0. W. Curtis,- and C. E. Holliu'd), whose play was most consistent.
The balance-sheet showed, receipts for the year (Including £157 subscriptions) to be £220; expenditure, £161; assets, £617; liabilities, nil.
The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr. O. Syme; president, Mr. J. Toy; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. 0. KlmbeU and S.. 'Adamson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Robertson (re-elected); auditor, Mr. Burgess > (re-elected)s general committee, Messrs. W. Robertson, Corkill, Parkinson, Blake, Seen, Heason, T. Talt, Grant, McN'ven.
