GERMANS AT.ATjArtyn ST .CONSEQUENCES OF REFUSAL TQj SIGN. By Telegraph.—Presa Assn.—Copyright. Copenhagen, June 11. German newspapers axe showing alarm at the consequences of a refusal to sign the treaty. The Vossische Zeitung says that if Germany does not sign her enemies will occupy the country and resume the blockade, the cities will be without food, gas, or electricity, industry will be brought to a standstill, and the coast provinces will proclaim separate republics, which will be the end of Germany. The civilian population should unitedly demand peace.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. Paris, June 2. The Rhineland Republic was proclaimed on Sunday. Dr. Borden is president and the provisional capital is at Wiesbaden. The proclamation has agitated Berlin with fears for German unity. Herr Leinert, peace delegate, attributes the Hanoverian movement to British diplomacy, Britain desiring to obtain a foothold at Bremen.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
