WEDDING.
WADE—BLUNDELL. A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary's Church yesterrfny morning, when Dr. Wallace Robert Wade, of New' Plymouth, youngest son of Robert Wade, Esq., of Wallasey, England, was married to Miss Muriel La Oren Blundell, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Blundell, New Plymouth. The Ven. Archdeacon Evans officiated, assisted by the Rev. F. G. Harvie, and Mr. R. N Renaud played the organ. The bride, who, in the absence of her father through illness, was given away by her brother (Sergeant-Major K. Blundell), looked charming in a gown of white crepe de chino over pale pink, made with a broad pane! back and front, the ends of which were embroidered in gold thread. The skirt was draped over the hips with white georgette Her long embroidered veil was fastened with a Wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaid was Miss Nancy Lo Cren, (Christchurch), cousin of the bride, who wore a frock of palest blue I ouisine silk, with long panels finished with pale pink tassels, and the badice and sleeves were of georgette, and a wide swathed belt of pink and mauve completed the toilette. She wore a wide-brimmed hat of black tulle with a wreath of pale pink and blue flowers. Her bouquet of pile pink flowers was finished with streamers of pale pink and blue tulle The best man was Mr. H. W. White jmbe. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs Blundell, Carrington Read. Mrs. Blunc'ell received her guests in an amethyst ciepe de chine gown embroidered with black beads, and black hat with gold ornament; Miss Wade, .sister of the bridegroom, was robed in vieux rose, veiled in black, very pretty black georgette hat, and carried a bouquet to match the color of he? frock. The marquee where the guests were received was beautifully decorated with ferns and evergreens. The table decorations, the work of Mrs, Mortimer Jones, were pale pink roses and chrysanthemums and mxiden-hair fern. The bouquets were marie by Misses McKellar and Curtis. The bride's going-away dress was a crushed strawberry coat frock trimmed with black fur, uiid smart velour hat of same shade, trimmed with a gold ornament. The bvldai couple left early in the afternoon by motor for Wanganui and Napier.
